In this initial session, we will get to know you and your child, go over your case history and the paperwork you have pre-filled, discuss your concerns, and outline our plan for assessment and likely treatment options moving forward.

We offer a variety of assessments based on your child’s needs. Some assessments take longer to administer than others, which informs the amount of time required. Our fees include the cost of clinician time to score and analyse results, as well as single use assessment items (e.g. scoring sheets).

Depending on your child's needs the assessment costs may range between $250 - $300.

This assessment session will inform the path that our therapy journey will take, and is a vital part of ensuring that you get the most out of your time with us for all subsequent sessions.

Follow up assessment sessions will not always be necessary; however, some clients require assessment of multiple domains or more in depth probing to get to the root of the problem. In order to keep costs manageable, these subsequent assessment sessions are offered on a case by case basis only.

Not all clients will require a formal report, which is why we have chosen to make them an optional service. You may wish to request a report to share with your doctor, other allied health provider, daycare, school, or if your sessions are funded by a service that requires a report (e.g. the NDIS). We will tailor your report to fit your needs, with three different options detailed below.

1) Summary report: details the broad strokes of assessment outcomes and includes to-the-point analysis. 45 minutes of clinician time. $145.

2) Detailed/complex report: provides a more in depth analysis. May be required for children with multiple or complex difficulties. 2hrs of clinician time. $388.

3) NDIS report: very detailed, written in the style mandated by the NDIS in order to secure funding. Pro rata at our base rate of $193.99 an hour for the length of time required to complete.

This session gives us the opportunity to explain the outcome of our assessment and provide recommendations. Where relevant, we will also discuss our therapy goals and work out a plan for intervention moving forwards.

We are happy to conduct these reviews over the phone, via telehealth, in person, or even in an email summary if you prefer.

FEEDBACK ONLY: $97 - 20 minutes face to face, 10 minutes clinical documentation. This session is appropriate for families who choose not to continue with therapy, or in the case that therapy is not needed. We will also provide you with general tips and recommendations for use at home in both verbal and written formats.

FEEDBACK & THERAPY PLAN: $193.99 - 20 minutes face to face, 40 minutes clinical preparation. Includes feedback session as above, plus the time it takes for our clinicians to create an individual, personalised therapy plan for your child. Taking this time now ensures that subsequent therapy sessions are targeted and deliver the best possible results.

$145 - 35 minutes face to face, 10 minutes clinical administration.

We find that 35 minutes is generally optimal in order to balance hitting therapy goals with the average child’s attention span!

On a case by case basis, we can adjust our therapy sessions to be shorter (20 minutes face to face with 10 minutes of administration time at $97) or longer (50 minutes face to face with 10 minutes of administration time at $193.99). This will be at the discretion of the clinician in response to your child’s individual needs. Any other length of time agreed to between the clinician and parent will be billed at our pro-rata rate of $193.99/hr.

Price varies on a case by case basis.

While activities for you to complete at home with your child will be a part of every Sprout & Bloom therapy journey, we may also offer more in depth home programs on a case by case basis.

Depending on the area of need, agreed upon therapy goals, and your family’s capacity, an individualised home program may work to maximise therapy outcomes. However, please note that this may not be suitable for all clients due to a range of factors.

We only offer home programs for existing clients, as we are unable to create a program for a child without a thorough assessment process and understanding of their individual needs.

Pro rata at usual hourly rate of $193.99.

We are happy to consult with and provide handovers to third parties on request, including but not limited to GPs, other allied health providers, daycares and schools, care providers, etc. This includes attendance at multi-disciplinary (MDT) meetings, liaising with NDIS support coordinators, and coordinating joint care with other providers.

As of 1 July, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has introduced new travel pricing arrangements, which impact how mobile therapy services are billed.

Under the updated NDIS pricing rules:

• Travel time can only be claimed up to 50% of the provider’s hourly rate

• Non-labour travel costs are charged at $0.99 per kilometre

• Travel time is capped at 30 minutes each way

• 10-minute billing increments are encouraged (rather than 15-minute intervals)

While we understand the purpose of these changes, the new structure does not fully account for the true costs of delivering mobile services, including therapist time, vehicle expenses, and the impact on daily scheduling. This has led us to update our travel policy.

To continue offering mobile therapy in a sustainable way, the following policy will apply to all clients requesting mobile services (home, school, or community settings):

• Travel time will be capped at 15 minutes from our Red Hill clinic, charged at the NDIS pro-rata travel rate of $96.99 per hour

• Non-labour travel costs will be billed at $0.99/km

• A 10-minute therapy preparation fee per session will be charged at your therapist’s usual hourly rate, covering time spent packing, transporting, and setting up resources

These changes primarily apply to plan-managed NDIS clients.
